Isuka

I have no idea how I stumbled upon Isuka but when I first started the game I was amazed by the weird and unique cast of characters. I spend hours trying everyone out. In the end I played mostly May and Faust because of their silly attacks. I also really liked Testament and Millia.

Xrd

I have a lot of fun memories playing this game with my friends. I come back to this game regularly because of its deep mechanics and cool looking combos. There are not as many people online nowadays but its still possible to find matches quite fast. My favorite characters in this game are definitely Raven and Baiken. Raven has long range moves and a unconventional air movement options. Baiken has a unique parry stance that makes defense more interesting and allows unexpected counterattacks. I also like playing Jam Kuradoberi and Ky Kiske.

STRIVE

Compared to the previous games STRIVE is a lot more grounded. It also simplified movelists and combos. A lot of the characters I liked in the previous games weren't avalaible in the base roster so I just played Sol Badguy and May. Later I tried Baiken but didn't like the changes they made to her parry. After experimenting with different characters I eventually found Bridget and really liked her gameplay since it was somewhat similar to Xrd Raven. I played Bridget a lot and managed to hit Celestial rank with her. A while after Elphelt released I gave her a try and loved her. I played her for almost a year straight. In 2025 I took a break from grinding ranks and only play casually with friends every few months.
